fairy, 12 tiny pearl charms (the tooth fairy leaves one in
exchange for each lost tooth) and a beautifully illustrated
tooth fairy tale complete with tooth journal for recording the

Julie Kentera is a former first grade teacher and now a
stay-home mother of 2 daughters. The idea came to Kentera when
her oldest daughter lost her first baby tooth. "As I stood
holding her tooth, I remembered when it was the only one in
her mouth and she had the little jack-o-lantern smile ...and
now, here it was, lying in my hand like a tiny misplaced
pearl. It just felt wrong that the celebration for such a
milestone had become - cash! Where's ceremony or sentiment in
that?" Kentera then formed her company, appropriately
named DreamPearls, with the hope of sharing some of that magic
with others who have special little girls in their lives,
including parents, grandparents and godparents. DreamPearls'
next project is a tooth fairy gift made just for little boys.
